Historical and Cultural Armenia 9 days

DAY 1
Arrival at Yerevan Zvartnots Airport, transfer to the selected hotel. Check – in and rest. O/N in Yerevan.

DAY 2 
After breakfast at the hotel . City tour in Yerevan that includeing main highlights of the city such as – Republic Square, Victory Park, Mother Armenia, Cafesjian Center for the Arts, The Cascade, Opera House, and Tsitsernakaberd – genocide memorial with a museum. Matenadaran manuscript museum. Lunch then continue visit to National art Gallery. Free evening. O/N in Yerevan

DAY 3
After breakfast at the hotel drive to explore Northern part of Armenia, visit Lake Sevan peninsula with two tiny churches on top of it. Lake Sevan. Known as the “blue pearl of Armenia” this lake is the largest high altitude lake in Armenia (2000 meters / 6234feet). After drive to Dilijan spa town and visit Haghartsin monastery neseled in the wood,then Goshavank 12 century monastery with is famous for its needle khachkar . O/N in Dilijan.

DAY 4 
After breakfast at the hotel, drive via Vanadzor city to Dsegh. The road to Dsegh goes through the 500-meter deep amazing gorge of the Dzoraghet River. Known as the birthplace of popular Armenian writer Hovhannes Tumanyan (1869-1923), Dsegh was once named for the poet. The Tumanyan House-Museum is located here. Lunch, then visit Haghpat and Sanahin monasteries both monasteries are under the protection of UNSCO. O/N in Alaverdi.

DAY  5 
After breakfast at the hotel, visit Odzun monastery which is located in Odzun village- constructed from the 5th to 7th centuries, this basilica-styled church has cloisters, wall carvings, and a funerary monument. Back to Yerevan via Spitak city . O/N in Yerevan.

DAY 6
Tour to South of Armenia visit Khor Virap monastery and the closest point from Armenia to see the mountain Ararat.after drive to Noravank monastery on the way visit Areni winery and try one of the best wines that we have our country. Back to Yerevan O/N in Yerevan.

DAY 7
After breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Garni Temple and Garni Castle (IIIc. BC-XIIIc. AD) –which used to be the summer residence of Armenian kings and the site of a pre-Christian temple honoring Mithra, god of the sun. Trip to Geghard, Armenia’s 12-13cc «Monastery of the Lance» The name of Geghard is connected with a lance which, according to the Holy Bible, was used to pierce the side of the crucified Christ. (What is believed to be a remnant of the lance is preserved in the museum at Holy Echmiatsin). O/N in Yerevan.

DAY 8
