South of Armenia ( light hiking )

Day 1
Arrival transfer to the hotel.
Day 2
After a short rest will embark on a city tour that include: Republic square, opera house, Cascad, North Avenue, Abovyan street one of the oldest street of the city. Visit Tsisernakaberd genocide memorial and museum. Lunch O/N in Yerevan.
Day 3
A trip to the southern slope of Mount Aragats in Aragatsotn province. From the road leading to Ashtarak there is a wonderful panorama on the extinct volcano of Mounts Aragats and Arailer. And from here, near the town of Ashtarak there opens a view on the gorge of the Kasakh River.
Day 4
The trip continues to Amberd fortress («Fortress of clouds» of 7-14cc.) which is located at 2300 m. above sea level, on a high triangle cliff which is formed by rivers Amberd and Arkashen. From here there is a wonderful view on Mount Ararat and Ararat Valley. A walking tour around the fortress (1.5 km-2 hours). O/N in Yerevan
Day 5
Excursion to the remains of Zvartnots Temple (VIIc.). The Zvartnots Temple («Celestial Angels») is like a proud eagle, perched on a high pedestal.
Visit one of 12 old capitals of Armenia – Echmiatsin (Vagharshapat) and the First Cathedral of Saint Echmiatsin, church of Saint Hripsime (VIIc). O/N Yerevan

Day 6
Today we drive to Mt Aragatc and drive up to Lake Kari 3250 m. above sea level and start hiking to south pick of the mountain it will take about 3 hours hike, have lunch boxes with you and have lunch there, after come back and drive to Amberd fortess located on the slopes of Mt Arargats 2300m visit the fortess and drive back to Yerevan. Day 6
Excursion to Garni: Dating from the 3rd century BC to the 13th century AD, this area not only housed the summer residence of Armenian kings but was also the site of a pre-Christian temple honoring Mithra, god of the sun.
Descending to the canyon of the river Azat. Walking along the river, visiting the ancient rock bridge and the natural volcanic rock formations “symphony of stones” – a rare phenomenon of nature – basalt, which thickened in the form hexahedral posts. : Geghardavank: Constructed from the 12th to 13th centuries, Geghard means “Monastery of the Lance”. Its name was connected with a lance that, according to the Holy Bible, was used to pierce the side of the crucified Christ. What is believed to be a remnant of the lance is preserved in the museum at Holy Echmiadzin. O/N in Yerevan.
Day 7
Excursion to Dilijan via Lake sevan, Parz Lich start the hiking from the lake and walk to Goshavank medieval monastery this hike is for one who like fortress and tress 3 hours. O/N in Dilijan.
Day 8
Excursion to Haghartsin monastery 12th to 13th centuries, nestled in a wood then Lake Sevan pearl of Armenia Sevan peninsula with two tiny churches on top of it. O/N in Yerevan.
